Indiana’s Mr. Football out of Warren Central in 2006 had a great career as a running back at Virginia Tech, highlighted by a 253-yard game against Maryland. A knee injury cost him his junior season, but he came back to average 5.7 yards per carry as a senior.
The Colts signed him as a free agent, as did Tennessee later, but he never got into a regular season NFL game.
There’s a story behind the career, however, and sometimes the best stories go with the lesser-known careers.
