Drag racing
You can’t contain this guy to one episode. He has a lot ot tell, he tells it well and he doesn’t mince words. No way it could be told in an hour without leaving out too much good stuff.
In fact, it’s difficult to summarize here without writing for a couple of hours. Even if you don’t care for drag racing, you’ll enjoy this one, just for the anecdotes and the way it’s told. It’s a classic rags-to-riches story, about a landmark drag racer.
This was the first show recorded in the recently refurbished fifth-floor studio, which became the permanent home for all my conversations except those over the telephone. Hardly anyone else used it, so it was like having my own office/studio/hangout place.
