Pacers
She was the Pacers’ sideline reporter at the time of this conversation, and a local celebrity. Beyond that, she had been a standout athlete in high school, and the victim in an abusive relationship. She didn’t mind sharing that part of her story, which was my primary motivation for recording this episode. People need to hear stories such as that to increase awareness, and hopefully motivate those in a similar situation to get help.
She was a popular member of the Pacers’ broadcast team among fans, but her contract was not renewed at the end of the season in which this was recorded and she moved to Los Angeles.
